Sports Hall Cantu Milano IT 2007/2010 *

The new Sports Hall is part of a big urban structure: the sports areas, the existing shopping center and easy access to the main roads to the city center. From these ruling we design a new urban structure consisting of two distinct architectural elements: a sporty spatial volume articulated and positioned within an enclosure built for commercial tertiary, and an open space generated by this symbiosis. "In 2009, I was part of the project team for the new sports arena in Cantu, Milan. The client's request was ambitious: 8000 seats, over 5000 square meters of commercial space, and 300 covered parking spots. The project, which lasted several years, stalled like many other large projects in Italy. Today, it still stands as an abandoned construction site."
