Staging of an Exhibition on Ettore Sottsass

( Interior Design, first year project)

The objective of this project is to guide the student towards understanding and appropriating a given space through the research and study of the personality and works of the artist to be exhibited. This involves conducting an ergonomic and functional study of the various spaces to be designed; developing a dominant, personal, and coherent idea that aligns the space with the artist; and making choices regarding materials, techniques, and graphics in relation to the developed concept. The project, to be implemented in the large vaulted hall of the Maison du Peuple in Saint Gilles, must consider spaces for reception, ticketing, and a bookstore; spaces for administrative work; exhibition spaces intended to present Ettore Sottsass's work through a varied selection of objects and furniture; and a projection space with a screen.
