Loft (Interior Design, first year project)

The exercise takes place within a given existing space for the student. The student will need to organize a "filter" furniture between two spaces. The furniture will be perforated, partially transparent, making it visible from both sides.

Mandatory functions should be considered (a bed, items to be placed, books, comics, records, clothes, chair, desk, lamp, etc.). A preliminary study will be required: the study of the existing state (walls, columns, ceiling, windows...), the quantification and ergonomic study of objects to be placed in the space. The study of relationships between furniture, usage paths, functionality, etc. The materials are imposed and simple, typically painted MDF wood panels.

The formalization should be supported by references, research, study charts, ergonomic and functional. An orthogonal and simple composition will be privileged in order to conceive a feasible piece of furniture.
