Architectural design and construction details: Transformation/renovation/extension of an existing building  (Technical Design, second year projects)

Students will refine the accuracy of technical elements in architectural concept creation by incorporating a range of technological factors such as equipment, structure, and bioclimatic considerations. Throughout their project, they will also develop the three core aspects emphasized in the course: design, technical expertise, and visual representation. The assignment calls for the preparation of a partial submission document for private or commercial projects, focusing on innovative and collective housing. This should address a specific program, urban planning characteristics, and architectural aspects of an existing site. The workshop is structured around three key themes:
